Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you request, book, pay for, or receive local or Wyoming intrastate moving, packing, office moving, or specialty handling services from VELVET STORM LLC.
Plain English summary: we provide local and Wyoming intrastate moving, packing, office moving, and specialty handling services. We use itemized pricing: every possible charge is listed in your written estimate, with no hidden fees. No deposit is taken, and the full balance is due on completion. Cancellations, refunds, and claims are handled under the rules below.
01Acceptance of Terms
By using this website, submitting an estimate request, accepting a quote, booking services, making a payment, or receiving services from VELVET STORM LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service and any written estimate, invoice, bill of lading, or service order that applies to your job.
You must be at least 18 years old to book services. If you act for a company, property, household, estate, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that party.
02Description of Services
We provide local and intrastate Wyoming moving, packing and unpacking, loading and unloading, specialty-item handling, and office moves. Every pickup and delivery location for a moving job must be within Wyoming. We are a service business. We do not sell or ship retail goods through this website.
Service role: Wyoming intrastate household-goods carrier; not a broker
Service availability depends on crew capacity, truck availability, weather, access, safety conditions, distance, and customer-provided details. We may decline or reschedule work that cannot be performed safely or legally.
03Estimates and Booking
- Estimates are based on the information provided by the customer, including inventory, locations, access, stairs, elevators, distance, dates, and special handling items.
- Every possible charge and its trigger will be itemized in the written estimate. The published Fee Schedule explains the published surcharge categories and defined rate bases.
- If the actual job differs materially from the described scope, we pause before added work begins and provide a written change order that identifies the changed scope and adjusted itemized price. Added inventory or scope carries no penalty fee. The customer must approve the change order before the added work continues or is billed.
- Your move date is not confirmed until we accept the booking and issue written confirmation by email, invoice, estimate, service order, or similar confirmation.
- Photos, video walkthroughs, or in-person inspections may be requested before we finalize pricing.
04Scheduled Service, Delivery, Delays, and Rescheduling
These fulfillment terms apply to local and Wyoming intrastate moving, packing, office, and specialty-item services. The written confirmation for the job controls the actual dates and windows.
Scheduling and fulfillment
Your confirmed order includes scheduled service and delivery windows.
- ✓Written confirmation states the scheduled arrival/service window and, when pickup and delivery occur at different times, the scheduled delivery window. A window is a time range, not a guaranteed minute of arrival.
- ✓If weather, road conditions, mechanical problems, building access, safety, or another event delays service, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable with the reason and an updated window. No extra charge is added solely because of a delay caused by us.
- ✓If we must reschedule, we will offer the next available window. You may accept it, request another available window, or cancel the affected unperformed service without a company-caused cancellation fee under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- ✓A customer-requested reschedule is effective only after written confirmation. Any customer-requested late-change charge must be disclosed in the written estimate and Fee Schedule before booking.
05Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate inventory, access, address, parking, elevator, and timing information.
- Obtain building approvals, reserve elevators or loading docks, arrange legal parking, and ensure safe access at pickup and delivery.
- Pack items safely unless you have purchased packing services from us.
- Personally transport cash, jewelry, medications, firearms, sensitive documents, heirlooms, and irreplaceable valuables unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Disconnect appliances, electronics, fixtures, water lines, gas lines, and mounted items unless the written service order says we will handle them.
- Be present or appoint an authorized adult representative at pickup and delivery to answer questions and sign paperwork.

Our Refund and Cancellation Policy and Fee Schedule are part of these terms. We approve or deny a refund request within 5 business days after receiving it. An approved refund is issued to the original payment method within 5 business days after approval.
Completed services are generally not refundable except for documented overpayment, services paid for but not performed, or other amounts we determine are due under the written agreement, applicable law, or our claims process.
08Items We Cannot Move
For safety and legal reasons, we do not move:
- Hazardous materials, fuel, propane, explosives, ammunition, chemicals, paint, or flammable liquids.
- Perishable food, live animals, plants unless specifically agreed, or anything living.
- Illegal items, stolen property, controlled substances, or items you do not have the legal right to move.
- Cash, securities, jewelry, irreplaceable documents, medical records, and similarly high-value personal items unless separately agreed in writing.
09Claims, Valuation, and Liability
We handle belongings with care, but moving carries risk. Prompt notice helps us preserve evidence and inspect damage, but prompt notice is not a substitute for the service-specific written claim windows below.
- Wyoming intrastate household-goods moves: submit a written loss or damage claim within nine months after delivery, or after the scheduled delivery date if delivery did not occur.
- Packing, unpacking, loading-only, office, and specialty-item services: submit a written claim within nine months after service completion or discovery of concealed loss or damage, whichever is later.
- A written claim should identify the customer and job, the affected items or service, the nature of the loss or damage, the amount claimed if known, and available photos, receipts, or other supporting material.
- Keep damaged items and packaging available for inspection.
- Default liability coverage (no charge): released value of $0.60 USD per pound per article. See the Valuation and Liability Disclosure.
- Released-value liability does not cover damage caused by customer-packed boxes, concealed defects, ordinary wear, unsafe access, weather exposure caused by customer delay, or items not identified as requiring special handling.
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, liability excludes indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages.
The nine-month periods above are claim-submission windows, not shortened statutes of limitation. They do not reduce any longer, nonwaivable period under Wyoming law, including an applicable period under W.S. 1-3-105, or any other right that cannot lawfully be waived.
These are Wyoming intrastate terms. We accept only jobs whose pickup and delivery locations are both within Wyoming.
10Disputes and Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a formal claim, both sides agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve disputes informally for at least 30 days after written notice.
If informal resolution fails, disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, unless a written agreement or applicable law requires a different forum.
11Contact and Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes apply going forward unless required by law.
